She puts on his work shirt
And an old pair of jeans
The sleeves go way down past her hands
But no one ever sees
She bought a bottle of his cologne
She sprays it lightly in the air
Though there’s no one’s there to wear it
He still lingers everywhere

Souvenirs of a happier time
Love may be gone, but still survives
In Postscripts of a love gone by
He still carries her photograph
Everywhere he goes
Time has surely changed her some
But he has no way to know
Sometimes he listens to Haggard
And tries to sing along
Though he never cared for country much
It was her favorite song

BRIDGE
As she daydreams in his work shirt
He studies her photograph
Selective memories take over
All alone, they both laugh (at)
